Etnedal Sparebank was established as an independent savings bank in November 1909. We have a long and proud tradition of customer service central to our business strategy. How to become a customer

It is easy to become a customer of Etnedal Sparebank.
Our electronic solution for becoming a customer is currently only in Norwegian - so we urge you to contact us personally.

What do you need to bring?

  • Valid passport
  • Your Norwegian personal number
  • National identity card og Nrwegian permanent residence card

When you visit the bank office for the first time, you have to bring a valid passport. In addition, you will need to bring the official documentation confirming your Norwegian personal number or D-number (social security code).
If you don't have a passport, you can apply for basic banking services with your valid National identity card (EU/EEA/EFTA nationals only) - or a valid Norwegian permanent residence card. Bring official documentation confirming your Norwegian personal number or D-number.

Etnedal Sparebank offers several digital banking solutions

  1. You can log on to our online banking service "Nettbank" from our homepage www.etnedalsparebank.no.
  2. You can download our App for Android or iPhone/iPad by searching for "Etnedal Sparebank".


Requires BankID

BankID is a personal and simple electronic proof of identity for secure identification and signing online.

In the physical world you identify yourself with a passport, driver’s licence or bank card. In the electronic world you may use your BankID to certify your identity. In the physical world you use a ballpoint pen to sign a contract. In the electronic world you will be able to use your BankID to sign documents and messages electronically.

With BankID you can sign documents electronically to avoid having to attend somewhere in person or sending them in the mail, for example if you’re applying for a day nursery place, changing your address with the postal service, placing a bid on a property, applying for a loan, publicly registering documents, etc. You will also be able to use your BankID when you pay by BankAxess. Then you use BankID to sign the payment.

BankID is offered and issued by Norwegian banks.

BankID is based on a coordinated infrastructure developed by the banking industry through the BankID Cooperation, under the direction of Finansnæringens Fellesorganisasjon (FNO). More than 3,000.000 active personal certificates (PersonalBankID) have been issued and a total of between 800,000 and 900,000 BankIDs are used every day.
